INFANT ROOM

MS. KRISTEN- Infant Room Lead Teacher, Level II

  • Bachelors in Early Childhood & Special Education, volunteer at Hilton Quest Elementary in Special Education, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
  • Started at Rich Beginnings August 2015
  • Kristen became a teacher because she has always had a passion for children and loves watching them grow. It is interesting to her that each child has their own personalities and grows at a different pace
  • Kristen’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: Being so proud of a child when they walked for the first time and him yelling with excitement as he walked proudly

MS. KELLY – Infant Room Teacher, Level I

  • Bachelors in Childhood Education & Masters in Literacy, Substituted in local school districts K-12, Worked with all ages at Mary Cariola, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
  • Started at Rich BeginningsSeptember 2015
  • Kelly became a teacher because she had always wanted to be a teacher since 2nd grade. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with others and seeing children’s eyes light up when they understand
  • Kelly’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: Seeing a child take their first steps

MS. ARIEL – Infant Room Teacher Aide

  • B.S in Printing Management from RIT
  • Started at Rich Beginnings August 2017
  • Has experience working at the Happiest House which is for children with disabilities and has a child of her own who now attends RIT
  • Ariel became a teacher because she enjoys being with children and helping them happily grow

MS. NICOLE

  • Current student at Monroe Community College for Early Childcare
  • Has previous experience as a nanny and teaching in a child care setting
  • Started at Rich Beginnings March 2017
  • Nicole became a teacher because she loves watching the children accomplish milestones and sharing in all the love that the children share
  • Nicole’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is when a child wanted to ask permission from their mother if I could come over to their house and get my nails painted with her

 

 

TODDLER ROOM

 

MS. JEN – Toddler Room Lead Teacher, Level II

  • Associates Degree from MCC in Business Administration, Infant/Toddler CDA, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
  • Experience babysitting, coaching youth girls softball, mother
  • Started at Rich Beginnings January 2007
  • Jen became a teacher because she enjoys molding young minds and teaching at RB has made her a better mom!
  • Jen’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: Too many to name over the years! Every day there is something new to add to the list, that’s why I love my job!

MS. STEPHANIE – Toddler Room, Level I

  • Currently working on her CDA through the Child Care Council, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
  • Nanny and babysitting experience
  • Started at Rich Beginnings March 2016
  • Stephanie became a teacher because she loves the challenge of teaching children new things
  • Stephanie’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: hearing a child say a new word and all the group hugs in the morning

MS. STEPH- Toddler Room Assistant

  • Has a degree from SUNY Brockport
  • Has previous childcare, camp counselor and nanny experience
  • Started at Rich Beginnings May 2017, previously worked at RB while in high school and in college, also attended RB as a child
  • Steph became a teacher because she enjoys watching the kids grow up and bonding with the families

 

TWO’S ROOM

 

MS. GAIL – Two’s Room  Lead Teacher, Level II & Assistant Director

  • Infant and Toddler CDA, MAT certified, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
  • Started at Rich BeginningsSeptember 1982
  • Gail became a teacher because she is amazed how children love to learn
  • Gail’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: Seeing the expressions on children’s faces as they turn over logs and rocks to find bugs and worms while exploring the trails

MS. K.C – Two’s Room Teacher Assistant

  • B.S Degree in Fine Arts and minor in Psychology from Nazareth College
  • Previous childcare experience
  • Started at Rich Beginnings since April 2016
  • K.C became a teacher because she loves to make an impression on children’s lives
  • K.C’s favorite memory is: Playing with her grandparents as a child

 

BIG KIDS ROOM

MS. SHANNON – Big’s Room Lead Teacher, Level II

  • Early Childhood Education at MCC, MAT certified, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
  • Experience with toddlers, 2’s, 3’s, Pre-K and school age children-24 years.
  • Started at Rich BeginningsSeptember 1993
  • Ms. Shannon became a teacher to make a difference in how young children experience learning. She strives to teach to each child’s style of learning. Shannon is happy to have the privilege of teaching
  • Shannon’s favorite Rich Beginning’s memory is: Over the past 20 years I’ve had so many great memories! Building strong bonds with the children and families always tops my list and those are what motivate me to create great memories each yeah I am here!

 

MS. JENNY – Big’s Room Teacher Assistant

  • Associates in Communications from MCC
  • Experienced Nanny
  • Started at Rich Beginnings since February 2016
  • Jenny became a teacher because she enjoys interacting with kids and helping them learn and discover new things
  • Jenny’s favorite memory is: Talking with a 5 year old and the child said he “really missed George Washington”

 

PRE- K

MS. KAYLEIGH WASIELEWSKI – Pre-K Head Teacher

  • Bachelors of Science in Education from SUNY Fredonia
  • Experience working in Early Childhood Grades 1-9
  • Started at Rich Beginnings July 2017

MS. KAY – Pre-K Assistant Teacher 

  • Culinary Art & Hospitality from Monroe Community College
  • Experience working with children at Stars Preschool and Stepping Stones
  • Started at Rich Beginnings August 2017
  • Kay became a teacher because she finds it very rewarding and fulfilling

MS. NINA – Teacher Assistant

  • 35+ years teaching experience in Pakistan and many years experience working at centers here in the Rochester area, mother
  • Started at Rich Beginnings October 2015
  • Nina became a teacher because she loves kids and find this career respectful
  • Nina’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: When a 4 year old pointed out to her that she wears a lot of black and asked her if she only has 1 and she told them that it goes with everything, and now tries to wear a new color every day

 

 

 KINDERGARTEN 

MRS. SOIN – Kindergarten Head Teacher

  • Masters degree in Education from Loyola College, Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Boston University, MAT Certified, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
  • Started at Rich Beginnings August 2008
  • Mrs. Soin became a teacher because children are our future
  • Juliana’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: A child said, “Mrs. Soin, I accidentally call you Mom a lot because I love you both”

MS. BIANCA – Kindergarten Assistant & School Age II Teacher

  • A.S Degree in Applied Human Services from MCC and currently working on her Psychology Degree from SUNY Brockport, CPR/First Aid certified
  • Started at Rich Beginnings September 2017, had previously worked at RB in 2014/2015
  • Has previous experience working in other child care settings and as a nanny

MS. KELLIE – Float

  • Experience working with children as a camp counselor, babysitter and in a child care setting

MS. MEGI – Float

  • Megi became a teacher because she loves to watch kids grow and seeing them develop emotionally and physically every day!

MS. JESS M – Float

  • 2 year degree from FLCC in Nursing
  • Started at Rich Beginnings November 2015
  • Jess became a teacher because she enjoys working with children

MS. RACHEL – Float

  • B.A of the Arts in English
  • Previous childcare experience

  • Rachel has always loved working with children. She can’t imagine a better career.
  • Rachel’s favorite memory was baking cookies at home with her mother

MS. ANGELA –  Float

  • B.A in Foreign languages/Business from Nazareth College
  • Has worked at Rich Beginnings since September 2007
  • Angela became a teacher because she enjoyed volunteering while her own children were in school
  • Angela’s favorite Rich Beginnings memory is: So many, teaching Spanish in the Big Kid’s Room, Baking with the children, Staff events, and more!

MS. KATHERINE – Float

  • Current student at Nazareth College, B.M in Music Therapy and Music Performance
  • Has worked at Rich Beginnings since April 2017
  • Katherine has always been fascinated by the joy that children bring into the world
  • Katherine’s favorite memory is getting off the bus and meeting her little brother for the first time

  • B.A from SUNY Oswego
  • Experience working at other Child Care Centers
  • Started at Rich Beginnings July 2017
  • Sarah became a teacher here at Rich Beginnings so she can have a better understand of children and their families because she wants to become a social worker.
